My Two Year Old Wants a Pet Lizard!?
Okay, so after my yorkshire terrier died. I decided it was time for a new pet.
I took my son, to a dog breeder who happened to own an Iguana. We started looking at the puppies when my Son saw, the breeder had a shirt with a picture of an iguana on it.
The breeder noticed and asked him, if he wanted to see a animal like the one on his shirt.
My son, followed him without a word.
We followed too, and his eyes glued to the tank, where the lizard was.
I tried to get him to come amd look at the litter of puppies.
But he said.
“Can, we take him home?”
And when I said no.
He started crying.
I then told him. I’d think about it, and now he thinks we’re getting a lizard.
He draws pictures of Lizards, and when I asked him if he wanted a dog he told me.
No. Just Lizzie.
I tend to be not a Lizard lover, and I don’t want to break his heart. What do i do now!
He’s just two, if you do end up getting the lizard he’s gonna get bored and you’ll be stuck with an animal you don’t want. You can still get the puppy and ask the breeder if you can take your son to see the iguana some times. It’s a bit of childhood desire.
